Information we collect

We process URLs submitted to retrieve transcripts. For registered accounts we store email address, authentication identifiers, preferences, subscription and payment references, and transcript-query history when automatic history is enabled. We do not request or store YouTube passwords.

Anonymous usage and security

To enforce daily limits and prevent abuse, we create a salted one-way identifier derived from network and browser information. We do not store the original value in the usage table.

AI features

When you use transcript translation (Plus) or the AI content suite (Pro), the relevant transcript text is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate the requested output. We instruct providers not to use submitted content to train their models. Do not run these features on transcripts containing information you are not permitted to disclose to a third-party processor.

Purposes

We use information to provide downloads, authenticate users, maintain history, provide AI features, process subscription payments, prevent abuse, comply with law, and improve reliability. Optional analytics and advertising operate only after the relevant consent where required.

Sharing

Service providers may process limited data on our behalf, including Google Cloud, Supabase, Cloudflare, Razorpay (payments), OpenAI (AI features), and analytics and advertising providers. We do not sell transcript history or account data.

Retention

Anonymous transcript contents are returned to the browser and are not intentionally retained. Registered query metadata remains until the user deletes it or the account. Financial records may be retained where tax or accounting law requires it.

Your choices

Users can delete individual history entries and request permanent account deletion from the dashboard. Cookie preferences can be limited to essential storage. Depending on applicable law, users may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability.
