Permitted use
Use CaptionFetch only for content you own, are authorized to process, or may lawfully use. You remain responsible for copyright, privacy, and the source platform’s terms. Do not bypass access restrictions, process protected media without authorization, distribute malware, or automate abusive traffic.
Accounts and allowances
Protect your sign-in credentials. Anonymous visitors receive 3 caption downloads per day; new free accounts receive 15 per day. Existing accounts granted an unlimited allowance retain it. Paid caption downloads are subject to a 2,000-per-day abuse ceiling. Each video in a playlist uses its own allowance. AI requests and audio transcription use separate allowances shown in the product.
Subscriptions and billing
Plus and Pro renew monthly or annually, according to your checkout selection, through Razorpay. The total charge and currency are displayed before authorization. Annual plans are paid in full upfront. Displayed subscription prices include any applicable taxes. You authorize recurring charges until cancellation. Cancel from the dashboard to stop future renewals; access continues until the paid period ends.
Cancellation and refunds
You may request a prorated subscription refund for the unused duration of your current paid period. See the Cancellation and Refund Policy for the calculation and request process. Rights available under applicable law are unaffected.
Audio minutes and AI
Paid subscriptions include audio minutes issued every 30 days while eligible. Grants stop when your balance reaches three monthly grants; purchased minutes also count toward that threshold. Additional minute packs are one-time purchases. AI requests share a daily limit of 20 across generation and provider translation, resetting at 00:00 UTC (5:30 am IST). Monthly credits are 30 for Plus translation, 100 shared credits for Pro, and 5 for free-account upload translation. Each started 6,000 source characters uses one credit, up to 8 per request. Credits reset on the first of each calendar month at 00:00 UTC, do not roll over, and count provider attempts, including failed attempts. Generation uses up to 48,000 source characters; longer inputs are marked partial. AI subtitle translation has a 12,000-character limit per request and may require smaller batches.
AI output and third-party availability
Review generated content before use. AI may make mistakes or omit information. Transcript availability depends on the source platform and its available captions. CaptionFetch is independent of YouTube and Google and does not guarantee that every video or language can be processed.
Service changes and liability
We may address abuse, suspend unlawful use, or change integrations to maintain reliability. Pricing changes apply prospectively with notice. The service is provided as available. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses or third-party outages. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
